Packing Tape People
Working in groups, students created human forms out of clear packing tape. Each group began by picking a spot within the school to install their sculpture. Groups began to brainstorm how they would like to pose their figure and how it would interact with its environment. Students then began wrapping one member of the group in cling-wrap and packing tape. Students would wrap one body part at a time, cut a seam in the wrap so that the student could free themselves and then retape the seam. Once all of the body parts had been wrapped, they were taped together to create an entire human form. The forms where then placed in their environments for display.
